HMFMC#208 Anything Christmas NO RED or GREEN

Good Evening and I've been at it again creating another card for the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge.

Here are the details:

** NEW CHALLENGE, HMFMC #208

Our very talented Teamie Christine is hosting and has chosen this great theme;

ANYTHING CHRISTMAS (cards/boxes/ornaments etc)

**** NO RED or GREEN ***

We always have the OPTION of ANYTHING GOES on ALL of  our challs..just enjoy making your mousey creations..

They also some some really great prizes too.

Here's the card created for this challenge:

I did a very clean and simple card in teal, with Santa's Helper House Mouse stamped in with Memento tuxedo black, He is colored in with copics, a little Wink of Stella under his feet, the hat Sparkly Fluff on it. The papers are Neenah Solar white in 80# and the PP is from AC an older line from Christmas a few years back. The sentiment is form Stampabilities and stamped in with archival ink in onyx black and some teal sequins glued on with Aleen's tacky glue.

Enjoy and Happy Crafting!!!!

I also posted this over at Crafting When We Can: "Don't Forget the Animals" and at Naughty or Nice Challenges. #22 "Show us some wing"

Here's what I came up with:

He was designed using Neenah Solar white card stock in 80# weight, wood panel embossing folder, TH Distress inks in Dusty Concord, Peacock Feathers, Tumbled glass, Walnut Stain and Vintage photo. The Word "PEACE" is a QK die along with Owl and branch. I also used sequins, 3M foam mounting tape, puffy appliqué and assorted adhesives.

Enjoy and Happy Crafting!!!!

Time Out Challenges #45 Snowflakes are Winters Butterflies

The Challenge is Snowflakes here is what Time Out Challenges had to say:

We have our 'Inspired by Word' challenge for you this fortnight. And the phrase we have for you is:

Snowflakes are Winter's Butterflies

For this challenge, you can use any of these words to inspire you or you can use the whole phrase-you choose.  Perhaps you need more Christmas cards?  Then snowflakes might be a good choice! A bit fed up with Christmas cards?? Then butterflies might be the answer. We know some of you have sentiments with that exact phrase, so we are expecting to see that too!!

Here is my take on the challenge:

The card was made using Neenah solar white card stock in 80# weight, so keeping with the snowflake theme, the base of the card was embossed in the cuttle bug with an older snowflake plate I had. The image is from Whiff of Joy, artist is Elisabeth Bell, stamp name Herb the snow man. He is colored in using topic markers, and highlighted with wink of stella and sakura jelly roll pens. the image was cut out with a spellbinder and back in a light blue Bazzill paper also cut out with spellbinder die cut and pop dotted to the card base.

I'm also entering this in Simon Says Stamp " Wednesday Anything Goes Challenge "

Enjoy and Happy Crafting!!!!

Mojo Monday #425 Christmas Memories

This is the sketch and message from Mojo Monday:

Happy Monday and Happy Thanksgiving week to our US friends. Julee has created this fun sketch for you this week, we hope you find time during the festivities to play along with us.

Here is my take on Julee's sketch:

This card made me feel a little vintage today. I did a very clean and simple card on this challenge.

Card was created using an old PP paper line form Basic Grey called "Jovial", Bazzill kraft, brown and Neenah solar white card stock 80#. The stamped sentiment is from 4 Klear stamps the ink used is archival in Coffee, the die cut is the TH deer mini with 3M foam tape and snow flake sequins glued on with Aleen's tacky glue. Sorry about the cell phone snap shot, I was just to lazy to get the Nikon. Although I will say, I think the cell phone does a better job with the color.

Enjoy and Happy Crafting!!!!

Naughty or Nice Challenge #21 Monochromatic

I'm so excited I stumbled across a new blog today. The Naughty or Nice Challenges they have a really fun challenge going this month "Monochromatic" I have colored the perfect card for this and I'm so glad I get a chance to enter it here. The design is a digital download Mandela from Fred She Said Designs. It was colored in using Copic Markers, hand cut and stacked with pop dots. It is embellished with Stickles and rhinestones. It reminded me of a snow flake and I got a free die from Taylored expressions and it ended up being perfect for the card title. The paper used for the die cut was Bazzill.

Here is the card creation:

Charlie and Dog Revisited " A Farewell to Whiff of Joy"

WOW! Its been a long time since I have visited and updated my blog. It feels good to be back and sad at the same time. I see a lot folks have stopped crafting or are gone. Time changes things in amazing ways. I've been gone due to a serious spinal injury and surgery. I'm back and in amazing shape thanks to one of the most talented and wonderful surgeons in Houston. Thank you Dr. Shih for giving me my life back.

So now on to my card creation, this is an old Whiff of Joy stamp that had been collecting dust and was being neglected. This was the very first stamp I had ever purchased on line. I figured this was a great place to get started again and I was pleasantly surprised with what the end result was. I hope you enjoyed seeing him again as much as I did. On another note about this stamp I discovered that Whiff of Joy is going out of business. Their last day open online will be November 28, 2015. Please go visit them for there farewell. I wish her well and all good things to  come in the next year.

Whiff of Joy I will miss you, You have brought me great joy.

Enjoy and Happy Crafting!!!!
