It feels so good to be back in the crafting game again. It has been over a year since I have done anything just for fun and not for teaching. So I have been surfing the net and sadly find I really need to update my blog. I was disappointed to see many of my favorite card challenges are no longer open. I did however, find some amazing new ones. This card is for two of these new challenges for me. The first is Fussy and Fancy and of course the theme is "Fairies", the second is Papertake Weekly Challenge with a theme of "Anything Goes".
This gorgeous beauty was created with the Silver Fairy Digital Stamp from Wee Stamps. I had to visit youtube to figure out how to color her, I found a great tutorial by Suzzane Dean, so thank you so much to her for the free lesson it was of great help. I used a combination of Blues and Blue/Green Copic Markers to create the look of gossamer in her clothing this is a coloring technique where you use one color of Copic marker to push out the other color. The cloud background was made with the Copic airbrush technique. The paper edges were distressed with Vintage Photo ink by Ranger. I used a very lovely paper stack from Prima called the "Madeline Collection" the card stock is Lagoon, Brown and Natural from Bazzill. The Florals and pearls are also all from Prima. The real special highlight on the card is the glitter, I used three different items for this, star dust stickler, Gary's fine glitter with glossy accents and a Sakura Star Dust Pen. Here is a close up to get a better View of the glitter.
