Fussy and Fancy DT Call " Three Favorites"

Well hello again for the second time today,

I have just recently decided to join the blogging world again and to try and toss my hat into the DT ring again.  I have been on DT previously and always had great fun and really miss the fellowship. I now work part time and I am able to give more time to the craft I love. I have been designing for about 4 years and teaching the Copic Marker technique for the last 2 years at a couple of our towns LSS. This is for the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge. They have asked for our 3 favorite creations, so since I have only restarted blogging there are so few to chose from. These were all colored with Copic markers, but I also color with distress inks and colored pencils with gamsol. Here are my submissions, wish me luck.

The Little Mermaid

Hello again crafty friends,

This week I have created some sea side fun with this cute little mermaid from Wee Stamps. The image was colored a while back and I just could not find the right sketch for it till yesterday. The sketch is from Papertake Weekly Sketch #66 designed by Dawny P. Here is the end result. This is also for DT submission over at Fussy and Fancy

The card was designed with My Minds Eye "Lime Ricky" collection PP, the image was colored with Copic markers, embellished with various goodies from my personal stash. Thanks for visiting and hope you have a great week ahead.

Enjoy and Happy Crafting!!!!

Back for More Crafting Fun

Hello Crafty Gals,

I have been busy this week with a new card and I have also decided to try out for a DT or two. This weeks  creation was for 4 different card challenges. The first is Papertake Weekly this was a Bingo challenge. My three in a row was gem, die cuts and flowers. Then there were 3 challenges for Anything Goes this week Whimsy Challenge Blog Challenge #31, Creative Inspirations Challenge #155 and Cute Card Thursday Challenge #209. The 2 DT I have tried out for is at Crafts4Eternity and Fussy and Fancy. Wish me luck.

This sweet card was made using the My Minds Eye "Stella and Rose" collection. The sketch is one of my own. This card also contains Bazzill Brown and Flamingo Card stock, Kaiser Craft pearls, Stitching by machine, ( I know it is not straight, I am horrible at sewing sorry), Prima Flowers, the flourishes are done with a sizzix die and this cute little spring image is a Digital Stamp " Little Rapunzel" from Elisabeth Bell Designs. The image was lovingly colored and airbrushed with my favorite coloring medium, Copic Markers. Thanks again for visiting the blog.

Enjoy and Happy Crafting!!!!

Wee Silver Fairy of Gossamer and Gold

Good Sunday afternoon fellow crafters,

It feels so good to be back in the crafting game again. It has been over a year since I have done anything just for fun and not for teaching. So I have been surfing the net and sadly find I really need to update my blog. I was disappointed to see many of my favorite card challenges are no longer open. I did however, find some amazing new ones. This card is for two of these new challenges for me. The first is Fussy and Fancy and of course the theme is "Fairies", the second is Papertake Weekly Challenge with a theme of "Anything Goes".

This gorgeous beauty was created with the Silver Fairy Digital Stamp from Wee Stamps. I had to visit youtube to figure out how to color her, I found a great tutorial by Suzzane Dean, so thank you so much to her for the free lesson it was of great help. I used a combination of Blues and Blue/Green Copic Markers to create the look of gossamer in her clothing this is a coloring technique where you use one color of Copic marker to push out the other color. The cloud background was made with the Copic airbrush technique. The paper edges were distressed with Vintage Photo ink by Ranger. I used a very lovely paper stack from Prima called the "Madeline Collection" the card stock is Lagoon, Brown and Natural from Bazzill. The Florals and pearls are also all from Prima. The real special highlight on the card is the glitter, I used three different items for this, star dust stickler, Gary's fine glitter with glossy accents and a Sakura Star Dust Pen. Here is a close up to get a better View of the glitter.

Thank you so much for visiting and have a great week.

Enjoy and Happy Crafting!!!!

Mojo Monday Challenge 231 / Stampaive and More Wee Hummingbird

Well it's been a while since I played in a challenge. This was created for Mojo Monday Challenge 231. The image is from Fred She Said, it is the wee hummingbird and petunia's. I am also going to post this at the Stampaive and More Challenge, the theme is Spring/Easter and the colors are so very spring time like I thought it would be a good fit. The images were colored and air brushed with Copic markers. The paper line is Lime Twist from My Minds Eye. The card is embellished with kaiser kraft pearls, seam binding that was colored with Copic marker to match image and PP, leaves were created with Nellie Snellen punch set and flower was created using Tim Holtz Tattered Floral Die. I hope you enjoyed this small creation as much as I enjoyed making it.

Enjoy and Happy Crafting!!!!
